======= NEW CRANK HOLE COVERS =======
1929-1930 Crank Hole Cover. A beautiful, exact duplication of the original Chevrolet crank hole cover. Die formed barrel, die stamped bulkhead spot welded in place, spot welded stiffener at the back end, die formed cap with tabs for fastening to the barrel. All of this is made exactly as the original. The cap is triple chrome plated (copper, nickel and then chrome). Unlike the original, the part is powder coated in gloss black (All 1929-1930 Chevy crank hole covers were painted gloss black). Finally, the latch spring is tempered steel, riveted to the bulkhead just as the original. To avoid confusion with the original, you will see the face of Billy Possum stamped on the lower part of the latch. Billy's face also tells you that this is another C&P Automotive product that sets the standard for quality Chevrolet replacement parts. p/n 355316 ... $198.00
======= COOLING SYSTEM PARTS =======
1929 Heat Indicator (sending unit in cylinder head). An exception to the rule that we only sell parts which we manufacture: these temperature sensing units are original equipment (NOS). Most of the units originally installed in the front of the 1929 cylinder heads have badly corroded threads or simply no longer work. These are factory fresh! p/n 354903 ... This is the last of the Heat Indicators from an old barn find. We are preparing to test each of them before they are offered for sale.
1929-1934 Radiator Outlet Pipe. A replacement for the steel elbow connecting the radiator hoses from the water pump to the radiator. These elbows are made of a heavier gage steel than the originals and have a baked black enamel coating for added resistance to corrosion. p/n 354564 ... $22.50
1929-1934 Water Pump Shaft. (without rotor). A case-hardened shaft to replace the typically badly worn pump shaft. p/n 835818 ... $24.00

1928 Water Pump Shaft. (without rotor). A case-hardened shaft to replace the typically badly worn pump shaft. (6-5/8" long) p/n 348598 ... $24.00
======= ENGINE PARTS =======
1932-1934 Rocker Arm Shaft & Bushing Set (2 shafts & 12 bushings). These shafts and bushings appear identical to the originals, but the shafts are heat treated chrome-moly steel, giving exceptional wear resistance with these bushings. Manufactured by C&P Automotive since the mid-1980's, these rocker arm shaft and bushing sets are in hundreds of early Chevrolets. Back in stock p/n 856815 & 835668 ... $198.00
1929-1931 Rocker Arm Oil Wicks (set of 12). These wicks transmit oil from the rocker arm shaft to the socket on the push rod end. Most rebuilt engines have left these out, endangering both the push rod ends and the adjustment screws. Identical to the original felt wicks. p/n 835677 ... $18.75
1929-1931 Rocker Arm Oiler and Silencer Pad. Not an original part but one offered by Victor and most other gasket manufacturers as both an assurance of adequate oiling of the top end and also to help minimize top end noise. No modification necessary. p/n V48040 ... $33.00
1929-1939 Valve Tappets (set of 12). One of the most common engine parts to fail. Typically the surface bearing on the camshaft fails due to metal fatigue. These case hardened tappets are ground with a shallow radius on the bottom to cause rotation, essential to long tappet life. p/n 838774 ... $168.00.
1929-1934 Valve Spring Caps & Valve Stem Keys (set of 12 of each). Identical to the originals. Replaces originals which have enlarged valve stem holes in the caps and edge wear on the keys. p/n 836117 & 836120 ... $69.00
1916-1928 Valve Stem Keys (set of 8). Identical to the originals. p/n 836120 ... $20.00
1929-1934 Valve Stem Keys (set of 12). Identical to the originals. p/n 836120 ... $30.00
1929 Oil Pump (gear type). These pumps have a capacity many times that of the original vane pumps and, except for a new oil pipe from pump to block, require no modification to the engine. Just drop the pan and install the pump. This is an exact duplicate of the gear pump which General Motors offered in the 1940's for these early 6 cylinder engines. (Even GM realized the inadequacy of the original vane pumps!) These pumps do require the installation of a gear type oil pump screen assembly (not included - see 1927-1934 Oil Pump Screen & Cover Assembly below). Our own experience using this pump shows that a stock engine idles at about 10 psi and runs highway speeds (55 mph) at between 25 and 30 psi when hot, using 30 wt. oil. p/n 604506 ... $399.00
1930-1932 Oil Pump (gear type). These pumps have a capacity many times that of the original pumps and, except for a new oil pipe from pump to block, require no modification to the engine. Just drop the pan and install the pump. This is an exact duplicate of the gear pump which General Motors offered in the 1940's for these early 6 cylinder engines. (Even GM realized the inadequacy of the original vane pumps!) These pumps do require the installation of a gear type oil pump screen assembly (not included - see 1927-1934 Oil Pump Screen & Cover Assembly below). p/n 604507 ... $399.00
1927-1934 Oil Pump Screen & Cover Assembly. The investment cast covers are designed to allow these assemblies to be used with all models of the Original Billy Possum Brand gear type oil pumps, including the 4 cylinder pumps, where the smaller engine pan precludes the use of the original type screen cover. The screen and associated hardware are exact duplicates to the originals. p/n C&P838458, C&P838457, 838803, 838452 & associated hardware ... $120.75
1929-1930 Full-flow Oil Filter Attachment & Oil Distributor Valve.This unit replaces the stock oil distributor valve and provides for the attachment of a full-flow oil filter! All of the oil from the pump passes through the filter before being directed to the various bearings in the engine. All modern cars use full-flow filters to prolong engine life. Carefully designed to replace the existing oil distributor valve, this fixture fits snugly just forward of the carburetor. It does not interfere with the generator, the horn, the dipstick or the oil filler tube. This "Original Billy Possum Brand" filter attachment requires no modification to the engine whatsoever except for the requirement of an "Original Billy Possum Brand" gear-type oil pump, which your car ought to have anyway. Don't jeopardize your investment by using the old vane pump and no oil filter. Even General Motors eventually upgraded the oil pumps for these early 6 cylinder engines to gear-type pumps. Uses a readily available FRAM filter #PH46 or equivalent. This Filter Attachment & Oil Distributor Valve has been in test for thousands of miles over a period of more than five years with outstanding results. p/n C&P2008A which replaces p/n 362472, 836251, 835648 and 836512 ... $212.25
1925-1962 Copper Asbestos Gasket An original type copper clad gasket for the oil pan plug. p/n 344690 ... $1.65 each
1929-1940 Exhaust Manifold Brass Nuts (set of 2). New old stock. Replace the old, damaged manifold to muffler header pipe brass nuts with these new replacements. p/n 838780 ... $5.25
======= CLUTCH PARTS =======
1929-1931 Clutch Disc. This disc assembly, identical in appearance to the original GM part, is composed of a precision broached hub riveted to a chrome moly (4130) disc. Only brass rivets are used to fasten the no-lead, asbestos-free linings to the disc. We are currently in progress with a third run of these. Back in stock p/n 836179 ... $198.00
1932-1937 Clutch Disc. This disc assembly, similar to the original GM part, including the shock absorbing springs. The clutch is composed of a precision broached hub and 3 chrome moly (4130) discs. Only brass rivets are used to fasten the no-lead, asbestos-free linings to the disc. After extensive road testing lasting more than 3 years these clutch discs are NOW AVAILABLE. p/n 837747 ... $234.00
======= TRANSMISSION PARTS =======
Caution: Some transmission main drive shafts have a bleed hole forward of the main drive bearing. This hole appears to be somewhat random in its location. If the hole is present and located such that any part of it is within the range of 7/16" to 1/2" from the face of the main drive bearing, it is not recommended to use this retainer with seal.
1932-1936 Transmission Main Drive Bearing Retainer. We have acquired and offer a small number of NOS GM retainers in their original boxes. p/n 590550 ... $30.00
======= DRIVE LINE PARTS =======
1932 Rear Axle Bearing Retainer Nut - Early Type. Exact replacement for the nut that secures the bearing to the axle. Although a spanner wrench should be used, typically the old nuts have been damaged by the use of a chisel to install them. p/n 367517 ... $22.50
1925-1932 Rear Axle Keys (set of 2). A replacement for worn axle keys. p/n 341839 ... $8.25
1925-1931 Rear Axle Inner Seal Assembly (with modern elastomer seal). These seals prevent the differential grease from reaching the axle outer bearing. If the seal fails, the grease passes through the bearing and through the outer seal (only felt) onto the rear brake drum. These assemblies are identical to the originals except they have modern elastomer seals pressed in. These seals have become one of our best selling parts. p/n 344282 ... $56.25
1932 Rear Axle Inner Seal Assembly (with modern elastomer seal). These seals prevent the differential grease from reaching the axle outer bearing. ======= BRAKE PARTS =======
1928-1929 Front Brake Cam Lever Adjusting Nut and Collar (set of two adjusting nuts, two collars and two check nuts). Replaces the original pot-metal front brake collars which, when corroded, swell up and bind at the swivel points. Adjusting the brakes then bends the adjusting rods - a very common condition which most 1928 and 1929 cars suffer from. These aluminum parts are stronger and will not bind up. The aluminum collars as well as the brass adjusting nuts and check nuts appear exactly as the originals. p/n 352243 & 352242 ... $78.00
======= CHASSIS PARTS =======
1926-1930 Brake and Clutch Pedal Shaft Kit. (including set of 2 pedal bushings and tools to remove old shaft). A tempered and ground chrome-moly shaft far superior to the original. The shaft is drilled and tapped for a grease fitting making lubrication of the pedals as easy as servicing any of the other chassis grease fittings. p/n 835724, 836248 & 351424 ... $73.50
======= STARTER PARTS =======
1925-1934 Heavy Duty Bendix Drive Assembly with Spring. These heavy duty starter drives differ only slightly from the original in that they have a spring that is less likely to break. Also an improvement has been made in the way the drive gear is returned. p/n 342793 ... $66.00
1925-1934 Heavy Duty Bendix Drive Spring (for heavy duty drive type ONLY) (includes both bolts and 2 lock washers required for installation) Although we stock this spring as a service to our customers, we expect few will ever have to be replaced. p/n C&P809690A ... $36.00
======= CARBURETOR & FUEL PUMP PARTS =======
1927-1928 Carburetor Venturi. The original Carter venturi for the late 4-cylinder vehicles was made of pot-metal. Many venturis are jammed in the carburetor throat.
